I hope everyone had a chance to really enjoy their weekend. We certainly did.
Saturday we were up relatively early to thrift shop! We needed to find some ewok clothing for our costumes but also shop for some miscellaneous items for Christopher. Tees and shorts and such because Yellowknife has managed to be the hottest place in Canada (I told Chris to pack warm clothes … oops)! I don’t really understand but no one is complaining. It’s so beautiful! But yeah, Saturday involved thrift shopping, napping, costume making, bbqing, drinking and a dubstep show. It was themed. Animal themed. Thus the ewok costumes. All in all it was a funny and enjoyable Saturday.
Sunday though, wow, it was even better. We slept in then went for brunch with Kyle. It involved a lot of eggs benedict and waffles topped with fruit and maple syrup. We also managed to go hiking again but this time for a good two hours. And I did it barefoot. It was almost 25 degrees. So amazing. We were at Cameron so we had the chance to play in the water … briefly because it was so cold but it was still very refreshing. We were out there for a good portion of the day then came home to have dinner and watch part of a movie before going to bed pretty early. That sun really got to us but gosh did we sleep well.
Every weekend at home just seems to get better and better and I absolutely love it.
I really do hope you all had the chance to enjoy the heat and play outside.
